1.
What are schools like over there?
Well, that depends which country you are talking about. One Big difference
is that there are no free schools. Your parents have to pay for you to
get to go to school. They have to buy all your school books too. So,
in most countries, most of the kids never get a chance to go to school.
2. Is
AIDS really as bad over there as they say it is or are they just trying
to scare us?
It is
worse than they have been telling you. Worse than I can tell you. Worse than
you can imagine.Play the AIDS Game and see for yourself.
3. Are
you afraid of the snakes?
Only the ones I see. but I am living in the middle of a very big city so
I don't see them here. Most of the snakes over here will run away from
you. But, there are also some
that will hunt you if they smell you.
4. Do
you have electricity or telephones?
Yes. We have both electricity and telephones. But, they do work a bit different.
The electricity here is 220 volts. In America it is 110 volts. So, we have
these boxes that have a transformer in them the change the voltage down
to 110 volts. That way we can use things we brought from America. The telephone
is very much the same when you use it. But, it is very different when you
pay the bill. In America, you call talk to some one for 1 minute or all
day and it doesn't cost any more money. But here, they time all the phone
calls and you pay for every second you talk on the phone.
