Jim & Brenda's Prayer Needs

1. Pray for God to open doors for an opportunity to assist with Evangelism and Discipleship materials for a community of people dying with AIDS. There is a major humanitarian project for helping a very large area with a high incidence of AIDS. We are presently working to open a door to providing both the Materials and Training in this new area.

2. Praise God for the safe arrival in Angola of Eduardo and Francisca.
After several months of discipleship and leadership training with Jim this couple felt such a burden to take the gospel to their people that they returned to Angola after being in South Africa for six years.

3. Pray for God's guidance for Eduardo and Francisca
Pray for them that they seek the place where God wants them to minister.

4. Praise God for safe travel for Jim and Brenda to and from meetings in Capetown.
Thank God for His protection. It is a hard two days travel over roads with a high accident rate. We stopped at a small farm to sleep the night. The next morning we were told that 23 people died in a bus/truck accident that took place right after we passed through an area.

5. Pray for God's leadership for Paige
Please pray for our little girl who is so far from us as she balances studies, job and student government responsibilities.
She has just sent in her application to Vet. School. Please pray that the entrance committee will act favorably on her application.

6. Pray for Protection for our Computers Systems.
I know this sounds a little crazy as a prayer request but this last couple of years has been very bad for our computers. One died last year but, Calvary Baptist Church in Warrior, Alabama helped us replace it. They will never know how much they helped us and the work they made possible. Since then we have had to buy 4 new hard drives, 2 CD writers, 1 new modem, a new scanner, and new operation systems for both computers. Having to personally replace these items here has cost us a great deal more than if we could have gotten them in the USA.

It is very frustrating that the Computer Tech's answer is always, "We can fix this. It will only be Blank Hundred Dollars."

Because of the work we do our computers are on most of the day. We are now also responsible for maintaining four different web sites. This means we are on-line several times a day up-loading or testing programs. Besides the lighting storm damage we have discovered our systems are being targeted by hackers almost every time we are on-line. After our operating systems were destroyed three times we have installed some costly new security measures to protect them.

Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.
